Luretta Azienda agricola description:

Luretta was founded in Emilia-Romagna’s Colli Piacentini by a traveling Frenchman who thought to leverage the viticultural potential of the hillsides and the wine-making potential of the deep and cool Momeliano Castle cellar. In the 1980s Felice Salamini (the erstwhile traveler) and Carla Asti began Luretta, now headed by Lucio Salamini. The constant temperature and thick castle walls support the optimal aging conditions and storage of 500,000 bottles, some Luretta wines age up to 8 years prior to release, and 100 barriques. Luretta is proud of the fusion of French (use of oak and French varietals) and Mediterranean (aromas of Mediterranean scrub and varietals that likely originated in Greece)) influences expressed by its wines. Luretta is certified organic and produces still red and white wine and sparkling wine.

DOC Colli Piacentini

The vine that has come to represent the Colli Piacentini region actually comes from the Peloponnese. Knowing the details of its story is not that important. It is enough to know that this wine, rooted in our province centuries ago, is a multifaceted white that brings with it a variety of flavors.

The aroma of Mediterranean herbs combines with the spontaneity of elderberry and the sweetness of white flowers to form a full-bodied drink without equal. As usual, Luretta proposes an unusual version of Malvasia Aromatica di Candia: instead of light and sparkling, firm and intense.

Luretta’s Gutturnio Superiore is a fuss-free wine that goes straight to the point. Clear in intention and provocative in character, it is a niche product you will not forget.

Created following the local tradition by blending Barbera and Croatina grapes, Gutturnio Superiore differs from other interpretations because of its long aging process in oak barrels.

A wine that presents its rough and disruptive personality at the first sip, perfect for celebrating a friendship sealed by time.

A nervous, irreverent wine that combines Barbera (60%) and Croatina (40%) to pay homage to the centuries-old tradition of Gutturnio. Earthy aromas and intense hints of currant and blueberry, perfect for accompanying aged cheeses and cured meats.

Blanc de Blancs is 100% Chardonnay, traditional method, aged two years on the lees. Light crystalline lemon in glass. A tangy briny nose of fresh citrus. Creamy smooth bead on the palate.

Carabas is 100% Barbera aged 10 months in large format oak. Medium ruby in glass. Powerful ripe fruit aromatics. On the palate mouthwatering, deep and concentrated fruit and toast.
